Library role in college education

Being able to search for and use different sources is an important ability college students need during and after their education.

The University library has an important function as a mediator of the sources and is an educational resource. We call the ability to find, value, use and refer to literature for information skills.

Our believe is that the best way for students to develop Information competence is to have adapted education integrated with the ordinary courses. In this way, students more quickly benefit of what they learned in tasks linked to the subject one are studying. This allows the students to develop a scientific approach to searching, valuing and using information which is needed for both study and working life.
